Hometown Hero Outdoors (HHO) has always been dedicated to transparency. It was an oath the founding members took as the organization was formed. As the organization expands, so does our commitment to providing all information as requested. Through our endeavors, HHO has taken the time to develop its profile with Guide Star (Candid). Guide Star is a nonprofit that collects information from nonprofits classified as necessary in disclosing accurate information & details about a nonprofit. Through their analysis, different levels of transparency are awarded to nonprofits based on their knowledge.
In 2022, Hometown Hero Outdoors proudly announced that the organization was awarded the Guide Star (Candid) Platinum Badge of transparency. This is the highest level of achievement that they provide. This achievement puts HHO in the top 8,000 nonprofits of the 1.6 million nonprofits Guide Star (Candid) evaluates; that is the top 5%!
