A Successful First Turkey Hunt for Team MN

This week, #TeamMN had the pleasure of hosting two first-time turkey hunters in central Minnesota, and what a remarkable experience it turned out to be! Both members showcased their skills and enthusiasm, successfully tagging their birds on the very first full day of hunting.

The first turkey weighed in at an impressive 21.75 pounds, boasting 1 1/8” spurs and an 11” paintbrush beard. The second hunter scored even bigger, with a turkey weighing 23.75 pounds, featuring 1 3/8” spurs and a 10” beard.

The excitement of the hunt, coupled with the camaraderie among team members, made for a memorable day in the field. Team MN continues to exemplify the spirit of Hometown Hero Outdoors by creating opportunities for veterans to connect with nature and each other. Here’s to many more successful hunts in the future!
