Here at Hometown Heroes, we are honored to offer qualified individuals a chance to experience the trip of a lifetime through our Legacy Trip.
Our application will be open once or twice a year to the heroes we serve who have experienced a traumatic event.
You can nominate yourself or be nominated to journey with us on a Hunting or Fishing trip at a dream location within North America.
We will pair the recipients with like-minded individuals they can chat with and confide in as they enjoy the great outdoors and get some much-needed leisure.
A Legacy Trip is an opportunity to give back to the heroes who have sacrificed for our nation. And provide them with a chance to relax in a wholly stress-free environment.
Details include:
An Annual or Bi-Annual Trip
Choose from a Hunting or Fishing Trip
It takes place in North America
Document your entire journey will be via film
Once a recipient is selected, our team will work on designing the trip, ensuring that every detail is perfect. Our goal is to offer the recipient stress and worry-free experience so they can enjoy themselves to the fullest. Submit you or your nominee's Top 3 Dream Trips in the application.
Officer Maston is our recent recipient
On January 6th, 2020, in Waseca, Minnesota, Police Officer Arik Matson's life was changed as he was shot in the head in the line of duty.
HHO has pledged to make a hunt happen for him to give him another thing to look forward to through his recovery process. We’ve recruited Rogue Productions to document Officer Matson's recovery and journey to Alaska.
In turn, we will be producing a documentary in cooperation with Rogue that will be released in late 2022.
