Hometown Hero Outdoors has reached another major milestone in the build-out of Hero Hall — and this one changes the entire feel of the space.
All of the flooring for Hero Hall has officially been donated.
Yes — all of it.
Thanks to the generosity of Forever Barnwood, a veteran-owned business, rustic barnwood flooring will soon be installed throughout Hero Hall’s permanent headquarters in Stillwater, Minnesota.

Building Character from the Ground Up
The addition of reclaimed-style barnwood flooring is more than a cosmetic upgrade. It sets the tone for the entire space.
Hero Hall was never meant to feel like a corporate office. It was designed to feel grounded, welcoming, and real — a place where veterans, service members, first responders, and families can gather in an environment that feels authentic and warm.
Rustic barnwood flooring brings:
- Character
- Warmth
- Texture
- A sense of home
Installation is the next step, and with flooring now secured, the transformation of Hero Hall continues to accelerate.
Momentum Is Building
With the flooring donation confirmed, the build-out is moving forward quickly.
Current progress includes:
- Paint scheduled and painters lined up
- Strong leads on cabinets and countertops
- Layout planning underway
- Operational spaces being finalized
Hero Hall is steadily becoming the operational heartbeat of Hometown Hero Outdoors — a place where stories are recorded, events are planned, volunteers are coordinated, and meaningful connections are built.
A Community-Built Headquarters
What makes this moment especially meaningful is how it happened.
Hero Hall is being built by the community — for the community.
Forever Barnwood’s decision to donate the flooring reflects the type of partnership that strengthens missions like this. When veteran-owned businesses step forward to support fellow veterans and first responders, it creates a ripple effect far beyond construction materials.
It reinforces shared values.
It reinforces service.
It reinforces belonging.
How the Community Can Help Next
With flooring secured, the next phase of needs includes:
- Appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave)
- Furniture
- Office equipment
- Storage solutions
- Finish materials and fixtures
Community partners, businesses, and supporters interested in donating, sponsoring, or offering discounted services are encouraged to reach out.

It will serve as:

- A meeting place for volunteers and partners
- A gathering space where connection can happen year-round
With the floors now accounted for, the vision is becoming reality.
Hero Hall is happening.
And it’s going to be something special.
