eamMN hosted the 6th Annual Freedom Fighter Veterans Shoot This annual bowfishing event has been an event that more than 10 boat captains
have come back to assist with year after year.
The day started with a hog BBQ, door prizes including a new Muzzy Vice compound bow.
Then on to boat assignments and a meet & greet for members with their captains. 21 boats went out with 66 of our members who were either boat captains or a guest member. They took off at 8:15 PM and had to arrive back to the park at 2:00am for weigh in and awards. Biggest fish weighed was 22.6 pounds, however we had one boat that had some mechanical issues and didn't get their fish back for weigh in (see photos), that was most likely a 30 pound fish and would have taken the win. The night was late, the bugs were in full force but everyone had a great time! There were many firsts, many smiles, and many new members.
This year's Choot' em Up Award went to Jarid M. for "Exemplary service to our nations heroes and dedication to the sport of bowfishing".
We cannot thank our boat captains enough for their hard work and dedication to this event. Along with our repeated donors- Edge Bowfishing, I got a Guy LLC, Muzzy,
Eden Prairie Scheels, AMS, Terry getting Hyvee, Robbie with Nocturnal Addiction, and last but not least Pat and Dustin for cooking the mouthwatering hog!
