Team Colorado recently wrapped up an incredible weekend of camaraderie and adventure, combining dove hunting and fishing from September 5–7, 2025.
This event was made possible through the generosity of BigR Stores and Gourmet Meat and Sausage Shop, who provided ammunition, apparel, and food to support our heroes.
Participants included two active firefighters — one experiencing his very first hunt — as well as an active Army Artilleryman and an Army Veteran. They were joined by Colorado State Director Jimmy Felts and Colorado Field Staff Chad Clark.
The dove were plentiful, the catfish were huge, and the meals were nothing short of phenomenal. Most importantly, the weekend was filled with lasting memories and new connections that embody the mission of Hometown Hero Outdoors.
