Expanding Support Beyond the Adventure
At Hometown Hero Outdoors, our mission has always been simple:
Create space for service members, veterans, and first responders to reset, reconnect, and rediscover purpose through the outdoors.
But we’ve also always known something important:
The reset doesn’t stop when the trip ends.
That’s why we’re proud to formally introduce a new mission-aligned partner — Revolutionary Telehealth (R+) — a veteran-founded telehealth organization built specifically to support the mental and physical health of those who serve and their families.
This is not a sponsorship announcement.
This is a strategic step forward in long-term care for our community.
Who Is Revolutionary Telehealth?
Revolutionary Telehealth was founded by Lieutenant Colonel Kris Barriteau, retired U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Beret), alongside a veteran-led team who understand service culture from the inside.
Their philosophy is straightforward:
“We built Revolutionary Telehealth because we’ve lived the gaps in care.”
They recognize what many in our community already know:
- Traditional systems don’t always fit operator culture.
- Stigma still exists.
- Confidentiality matters.
- Family stress is real.
- Access needs to be simple and discreet.
Revolutionary Telehealth was designed to address those realities — not ignore them.
Whole-Person Telehealth for Veterans & First Responders
Revolutionary Telehealth provides nationwide, discreet telehealth services focused on whole-person care.
Their integrated approach includes:
Mental Health Support
- Stress, anxiety, depression
- Transition and reintegration challenges
- Resilience development
- Confidential online therapy options
Performance & Physical Health Optimization
- Hormone health
- Metabolic and weight management
- Sleep support
- Long-term vitality
Family-Inclusive Care
Because service impacts spouses and children too.
They provide support designed for:
- Spouses navigating reintegration
- Caregiver stress
- Parenting under operational stress
- Relationship strain after high-tempo service
Strong families are foundational to long-term well-being.
Why This Matters for HHO
Hometown Hero Outdoors has always focused on:
- Peer connection
- Outdoor-based healing
- Camaraderie
- Breaking stigma
- Restoring purpose
But we are not clinicians.
And we don’t pretend to be.
What we can do — and what we believe in — is building a trusted network around our community.
Revolutionary Telehealth fills an important role:
They provide structured, professional, confidential care that complements the reset our trips create.
Supporting Our SOS (Surviving Our Service) Initiative
As we expand our Surviving Our Service (SOS) Team and integrate ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) into our programming, it is critical that we also strengthen professional care pathways.
ASIST equips leaders and peers to intervene in moments of crisis.
Revolutionary Telehealth provides ongoing, structured care options that can support long-term wellness beyond the initial intervention.
That continuity matters.
This partnership helps ensure that when someone says, “I’m ready to talk,” there is somewhere safe to go next.
Built on Shared Values
Revolutionary Telehealth is:
- Veteran & Woman-owned
- Mission-driven
- Designed for confidentiality and dignity
- Built specifically for veterans, first responders, and their families
They are not trying to change service culture.
They understand it.
And that alignment is why we’ve invited them to:
- Join us at our upcoming gala
- Participate in board-level discussions
- Engage with our leadership team
- Explore long-term integration into HHO programming
What This Means for Our Community
This is an introduction.
Over time, you will see Revolutionary Telehealth integrated thoughtfully into:
- Post-trip resources
- SOS Team pathways
- Educational conversations
- Long-term wellness discussions
Participation is always voluntary.
Access is private.
And the mission remains the same:
To build strength, stability, and long-term health for those who have carried the weight of service.
A Shared Mission
At Hometown Hero Outdoors, we believe:
Adventure can reset the mind.
Community can restore connection.
Professional care can strengthen the future.
Revolutionary Telehealth shares that belief.
